Functional Capacity Assessments
Functional Capacity refers to a person’s ability to do their daily tasks and activities.
A Functional Capacity Assessment is a comprehensive assessment that is completed at home and will identify your needs and type of support from the NDIS.
We are experienced in completing these assessments and have had success for our clients in helping them access the care and support from the NDI.
Care Needs Assessments
A care needs assessment works out what help or support you need with your care through insurance schemes such as the National Injury Insurance Scheme Queensland (NIIS Q and I care NSW).
We are also very experienced in working with insurance schemes such as NIIS Q.
Specialist Disability Assessments
Specialist disability accommodation (SDA) is a range of housing designed for people with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs.
SDA assessment involves an extensive assessment of your current and future needs, and provides a recommendation to NDIS regarding your eligibility for specialist disability accommodation and the specific environmental features required for optimal independence and safety.
We have had experience and success for our clients accessing SDA housing.
Assistive Technology Assessments
Assistive technology is any device, system or support used by individuals to perform tasks that might otherwise be difficult or impossible.
The purpose of assistive technology assessments is to show how the technology or supports are the most appropriate.
Our OTs are experienced in completing AT assessments and will help ensure that you have the right information when submitting the report to the NDIS.
Functional Independent Measure (FIM)
The Functional Independence Measure (FIM) is an instrument that was developed as a measure of disability for a variety of populations. The instrument includes measures of independence for self-care, transfers, mobility, communication, and social cognition.
Our OTs are FIM accredited and can provide timely and comprehensive assessment.
